Lottery.com Expands Globally with Strategic Acquisition in Dubai

Lottery.com is making a major move beyond lotteries and into the world of sports, health, and entertainment. The company is set to acquire a 90% stake in Nook Holdings, a UAE-based sports and wellness incubator, for $2.5 million in an all-cash deal.

This acquisition is the first step in a much bigger plan. Nook, which helps sports and wellness startups get off the ground, will be rebranded as Sports.com and will serve as Lottery.com’s new regional hub in the Middle East. Think of it as a launching pad for innovative new businesses.

The vision is to create a global network of these Sports.com hubs. A second location is already planned for Dubai later this year, with future sites eyed in Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, and even Miami. According to CEO Matthew McGahan, this is a “scalable blueprint” for expanding both the Lottery.com and Sports.com brands by acquiring promising businesses.

With a recent lawsuit dismissed and an $18 million investment secured, Lottery.com is clear for takeoff, shifting its focus squarely onto this new and exciting growth strategy.
